Frequently asked questions

How do commissions work?

Commissions begin after filling out a detailed commission inquiry form to understand your vision, followed by a contract listing all deliverables, terms and conditions, signed by both artist and client.

Painting is started once the non-refundable, 50% deposit is received.

Each phase of the project is then shared with the client, allowing 1 revision at each phase.

1. One after the initial sketch.

2. One after blocking in colors.

3. One nearing completion of the painting(at this phase only minor color or lighting adjustments are allowed. (e.g., slightly deepening a shadow or softening a skin tone highlight. Major structural changes are not possible at this point.)

   *Any additional revisions will incur a $50 USD fee per adjustment.

Once artwork is completed and fully dry to safely pack, it will be shipped with insurance and the client will be provided with its tracking number.

What sizes/types of canvas do you offer?

I offer most custom size/dimensions as I generally work on un-stretched canvas I prime & prep myself. Pre-stretched canvas or custom framing is available for an additional fee.

How much does it cost?

All pricing is calculated on a price per square inch guide, with the current rate of $2.50 per square inch, and a minimum project fee of $100 USD per painting.

Shipping and Handling

I offer free world wide shipping on all un-stretched canvas art that can be packaged inside a shipping carrier tube.

How long will it take to receive my art?

Painting time depends on the scale and complexity of the work requested. Minimum 1 to 2 weeks for painting plus 2 to 4-weeks for oil paint/varnish to dry completely before it can be safely shipped.

What materials do you use?

I work primarily with Winsor & Newton oil paints.

Is there any subject matter that you do not paint?

I am open and happy to paint almost anything but reserve the right to decline requests as well.
